Maryland Art Place, in partnership with Hotel Indigo Baltimore, presents SK8R GRLS, a photo series by ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ Lecturer E. Brady Robinson celebrating the freedom and joy of roller skating. The exhibition is on view at Hotel Indigo Baltimore Downtown from January 25 to March 18. A public reception will take place March 8 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Three ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñfaculty members have been selected as the inaugural recipients of the Myra Berman Kurtz Fund for Faculty Research and Exploration of the Sciences (KRES Fund) Year of Exploration.

The New York Times reviewed ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ faculty member Michelle Orange's new book, "Pure Flame," saying the book "may be Orange's legacy." Orange teaches in ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ's M.F.A. in Nonfiction program.

The six faculty members are distinguished in their fields of study and recognized for their outstanding scholarly and teaching achievements.

Associate Professor Nyasha Grayman-Simpson was interviewed on the radio program Revolutionary African Perspectives, on WRFG in Atlanta, where she discussed post-election African American mental health. Grayman-Simpson is the Henry S. Dulaney Professor at ÌÒÌ«ÀÉÓ³Ïñ College.
