Office of the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies & Dean of Equity & Inclusive Excellence
The Office of the Associate Provost for Undergraduate Studies and Dean of Equity and Inclusive Excellence is the liaison between students, parents, faculty, and staff, and champions an inclusive community, promoting diversity in all its forms and interactions. The AP for UG and Dean of EIE oversees the Office of the AP for UG, faculty advising, the Individualized Interdisciplinary Major, the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE), the Office of the Registrar, the 桃太郎映像 Prison Education Partnership (GPEP), the Center for Race, Equity and Identity (CREI), the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, the LAUNCH Scholar Network, and the Office of Title IX. The AP for UG and Dean of EIE is responsible for identifying trends that may impact the College鈥檚 reputational standing and developing and implementing strategies to prevent, manage, and mitigate issues related to equity and inclusive excellence. The AP for UG and Dean of EIE oversees Title lX bias reports; supervises the accommodation process for religious observance, Title IX, and academic accommodations; monitors the progress and retention of LAUNCH Scholars, and directs efforts to offer services to all low-income, Pell Eligible students across campus; and coordinates the planning for Convocation, Baccalaureate and student speakers across all graduating ceremonies.
Among the responsibilities of the associate provost is to provide support and counsel to students on academic matters, and to promote dialogue and meaningful action in addressing difference in perspectives and diversity; develop and enforce academic policies; determine academic standing; assess academic appeals and petitions; and coordinate the Academic Honor Board.
